Sunday September 21 2025. It's been a busy day, what with one thing and another, and I have this everyday project going on, and there hasn't been any time to get out and about with a camera. So, rushing between one commitment and another I grab this shot of the first thing that catches my eye. A plate on the kitchen bench. And the first thing that catches my eye is probably the best criterion anyway.

Monday September 22 2025. Our little girl loves buses. So we take her to town on the Number 10 which stops at the end of our street. She does the actions for "the wheels on the bus go round and round". She looks out the window and, from time to time, squeals loudly in delight at what she sees. A playground maybe, or a passing dog. Waiting for the return bus I squeal inwardly in delight at the soft light catching the building opposite me. Of course it's pretty hard to capture, cameras being such crude instruments.

Wednesday September 24, 2025. There seems to be a few of these weird geometric plants growing around our neighbourhood.

Thursday September 25 2025. A few years back I regarded a circular polarising filter as an essential, don't leave home without it, piece of photographic kit. But it's easy enough to reproduce its effects in Lightroom, so I haven't used one lately. But today I dug one out and fitted it to my current favourite lens, and took it to the top of the hill to see what it could do. Worth the bother? Hmmmm. The jury is out.

Friday September 26 2025. An early morning trip to the little bridge at Waldronville. There are some old pilings there, providing a handy resting place for this shag.

Saturday September 27 2025. Another of those grab a shot of the first thing you see kinds of days. So here, to round off the week, is the pot plant on the dining room table.
