Monday October 6 2025. It's a beautiful day to drive home. We arrive mid afternoon, and of course, need to check the garden and its inhabitants.

Tuesday October 7 2025. I feel well enough, but even the simplest, most mundane task leaves me feeling drained. So I confine myself to walks around the garden, trying to increase the mileage each time. Or, more accurately, the yardage. There's lots of preposterous flowers, like this clematis on the fence by the woodpile.

Saturday October 11 2025. I was getting dressed this morning and saw this kereru on our neighbour's tree. I looked around to see what photographic kit was lying around and hastilly clipped my number 1 lens to my number 2 camera, and leaned out the window. The sun, like me, wasn't properly dressed for the day, but I still got a few pics while the kereru had breakfast.
